Youn Soo Jung
Youn Soo Jung is a Korean artist, poet and collector. He was born in Seoul, Korea in 1946 and currently resides in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
Youn Soo’s early years were impacted by the Korean War and separation from his father. Raised by his mother and extended family in Seoul, Youn Soo studied engineering and art. He served 3 years in the Korean Army and worked as an engineer in the shipbuilding industry before immigrating to the United States in 1976.
He started his family in New York City and they later settled in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. As an entrepreneur, Youn Soo launched several business ventures in printing and publishing and import/exports. All the while, he pursued his passion for art and antiques, and upon retirement, began focusing his energy on creating new works inspired by the natural surroundings of his home, and his unique journey from Korea to America.
Youn Soo and his wife, Hwa Sook, have two children, Caroline and Matthew, their spouses, Clyde and Alessandra, and a grandson, Wesley. They enjoy spending time with their family and friends, discovering new cuisines, and travelling the world.
